Bobby Bressman - Pastor

Bobby grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and received degrees from Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Bobby and his family have been in ministry for since 1986, serving in churches in Oklahoma and Texas. He and his wife Rachael’ have been married twenty six years and have two children (Bobby Wayne and Baylea Jane).

Bobby’s heart-felt desire for ministry is seeing things happen through God’s people that are incredible. He enjoys developing relationships with people of all ages. He loves energizing and developing teams to do ministry and, as a result, seeing God work through ordinary people to accomplish things that are life changing! He believes that God will bless those who are ready to receive His blessings and are willing to take care of His people.

His heart for ministry is reaching people for Christ; getting people connected to other Christians; helping them develop in their faith; challenging the growing Christians to discover their ministries and to honor God with their lives.

David Mathis - Associate pastor Worship/ Education

David grew up in a pastor’s home and so, early on, was able to observe the unique joys and challenges of a minister’s life. David gave his life to Jesus Christ at the age of eleven and as a young college music student was called to full time Christian service.

David earned his Bachelor of Music from Houston Baptist University in 1985, then continued his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, earning his Masters of Church Music in 1989.

He has served as Minister of Worship in a number of Baptist churches, often serving in additional areas of Youth, Outreach, Education, Senior Adults, and Spanish Language Ministry.

David recently celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife Barbara.  They have two daughters - Claire, an educator who lives in Houston and Caroline, a fashion model who lives in New York City.

In his spare time David enjoys reading, walking, composing, and collecting.

Taylor Mcbride - Minister of Families

Taylor grew up in East Texas where he made his profession of faith and was baptized. He met his wife Hannah while attending SFA. They are a well-grounded young couple who are a joy to get to know! God has allowed Taylor and Hannah to serve alongside one another in ministries such as BSM, college, and youth ministry. They are both excited about the potential of him being called to Center, TX and continuing the obedience of following God’s call.

God has allowed Taylor to disciple leaders, students and leaders consistently. He views discipleship as being absolutely critical both in influence and faithfulness to God’s desire for personal holiness and evangelism. He believe’s the presence of a disciple making culture is the deciding factor between producing a group that are fed by zeal and emotion versus developing true followers of Christ who will remain faithful in new areas of life when they present themselves.

Ultimately, his desire as a youth minister is to develop young men and women who are more solid in their faith, and better prepared for living out the gospel when their time as a youth is over.
